It opens today in the US. Are you going to make a point of seeing it in theatres?

    I probably won't.

I generally like Ron Howard and Tom Hanks so I imagine I'll rent the DVD later but I'm not feeling any urgency. I didn't read the book. The early reviews are pretty lukewarm.

The only thing that would make me rush out to see it would be spite for religious nuts who are having conniptions about it. On principle, I would enjoy confounding them. But I'm sure they're already giving the movie enough free publicity and selling enough tickets without me having to get involved.

I wanna know who's gonna see "Over the Hedge". I'm definitely going to see that. I guess I'll bring my 2 and 4 year old too.

Not too interested in Da Vinci code.

I'll go see The Da Vinci Code in a theater. I generally don't bother with seeing a movie in the theaters, but this one has my interest. I know upfront it won't be as good as the book, but that won't deter me this time since I expect a good film from both Howard and Hanks.

Couldn't care less what some of the right-wing, born-again hypocrites are saying about the film or the book.

It's an "expert's" postulation that Jesus was in fact married. Mudcat says the reviews are lukewarm, but I have generally seen no reviews that had anything redeeming to say about it. I pretty much just disregard all religious beliefs on principle so it doesn't really interest me when someone develops a Michael Moorean Grand Conspiracy to prove that a religion's core beliefs are illegitimate. I already knew that.

Only because I could bet on it. Hoping it doesn't do well.

I bridge jumped and bet the under 115M for the weekend at -900. I know it won't happen, but that is a lot of chalk. :|

It's gotta be good because there were 50 people protesting it yesterday outside my local theatre.
