It's awesome. I went last year... expensive as hell but it's a once in a lifetime type of a deal for sure.

Does he work for the NFL or something? When I went last year, I talked to a woman who worked for the NFL and had been to 5 super bowls already. She was totally indifferent about who won the game. I wanted to punch her in the face because I paid 2 grand for my ticket!

That's one thing that kind of sucks about the super bowl... only like 30% of the tickets go to fans and the rest go to media/promotions type people who don't care about the game at all.

Exactly. I did this very thing at last years game. Stayed at the Bud Light Hotel, went to the Playboy and ESPN Super Bowl parties, and watched the game from Anheuser Busch's suite on the 45 yard line. It was pretty damn cool.

Opie you have any idea/speculation when the next possible date that the Super Bowl would be held at Cowboys Stadium? It usually takes 5-9 years for a city to host another Super Bowl, so I'm hoping it will be in Arlington again by at the latest 2018. I'd definitely go then.

i think its actually 1% to the fans, just looked it up its is rumored no more than 500 tickets go to the general public , this is the breakdown i found below

AFC Champion — 17.5 percent
NFC Champion — 17.5 percent
Host Team — 5.0 percent
Other 29 Teams — 34.8 percent
NFL — 25.2 percent
75% of all tickets go to the NFL teams, with each team in the game receiving a total of 35%, the host team receiving 5%, and the rest of the teams receiving just over 1% each. The tickets allotted to the NFL are used for corporate sponsors, the broadcast network, affiliated companies, charities, fans, and more.

The only method the NFL has to distribute tickets to the public is through a random drawing; there is no other way for the general public to purchase tickets from the NFL. The NFL also does not sell tickets to travel or ticket agents. The lottery system is free to enter and those selected have the opportunity to purchase up to two tickets at face value. Unfortunately, there is a very limited number of available tickets, some sources stating only 500 tickets are sold to the general public in any given year.

AFC Champion and NFC Champion 17.5%+17.5% = 35%.... after all the tickets go to the players families and staff and what not... its probably around 30%.....
