Lol, half the kids on this board can't pick their own nose without their mommy's help.
How many of you are willing to claim you make a living from gambling?

#40I have posted this in the horse racing forum before.
I knew two successful professional gamblers (in this case, horses) fairly well and it is not a lifestyle that most would be able to deal with. It might sound like a pretty decent way to make a living, and for some, maybe it is, but for most, or anyone with a family, it's darn tough.Comment -

#43I doubt there is a 'handicapper' making 6 figures on SBR.
Well over 100 posters making 6 figures just hitting really off numbers at shit books (like SIA, Bodog), hitting +EV promos.
And certainly many posters making 6 figures doing the above and/or using a model to help them determine off numbers in other markets where just comparing the line to Pinnacle won't necessarily tell you the right side. I could name at least 20 posters doing this and I am sure there are many many more who just don't post much.
It is fukkin easy guysStart looking at books outside the A range

I do it for fun and usually only go about 5-10% of my income. I get stressed out on that alone, I can't imagine doing it for a living. Not something I would want to do with my life.
Now if I could go Biff from Back to the Future, I think it would be great.Comment -

#46Let me put it this way. i havent put money in a sports book for over a year and i am still betting with that money. The only reason i did it was to turn pro and i got denyed. The promo days are gone. Anybody making 6 figures from gambling isnt a memeber here. They have no time to be posting on any forums.Comment -

#5799.9% of everyone here is a recreational gambler and lose. 0.01% here like to think they're professionals, but aren't. they lose more than the recreational gamblers in fact. 100% here lose.Comment -

#58I would think that of most "professional gamblers" ... do they have a job? maybe not, but they have income coming in from somewhere else, they gamble as a living, but all they are doing is budgeting and recycling their $ ... unless you went on a tear like a big field poker tourney, and won like 6-7 figures, invested it, and got sponsorship ... like the wsop winners ... then you can probably say, u made a living gamblingComment -
