Unless Verlander has another once in a lifetime season I dont see it.

They will win their division. Yanks, Bosox, Angels, and Rangers all have to battle it out with each other and one of those teams won't even make the playoffs (possibly 2- unlikely but possible). and they are +575, +850, +850, and +1100.
So that doesn't really make sense

+2000 for a team that's basically guaranteed to make the playoffs with Verlander and their hitting lineup. Not bad at all
Prince in Yankee stadium? They might re-think putting right field wall at 250ft

Not a bad price but in the end a worthless ticket.

It's a good gamble. Who in their division will challenge them?
I think they are a lock playoff team.
At that point, you open up all sorts of hedging opportunites and anything could happen.

That really is a great bet. They ought to be odds on favorite to win the division. Once they make the playoffs, I guess I'd figure between +400 to +800. +2000 really is good value.

Yes people forget they added Fister who is a quality pitcher who flies under the radar. One of best Aces in the game, solid pitching staff, top closer in the game, great hitting lineup. How can you not make at least a small play on +2000 for a team that's as close to a lock as it gets for the playoffs. Once playoffs start, anything could happen. i.e. Giants, Cardinals.... The heavy favorite almost never wins it in baseball

Yup that's exactly my point.
Tell me you wouldn't take a team, any team, +2000 entering the playoffs
Honestly think there's a good chance the Red Sox will miss the playoffs again. The Angels and Rangers get to beat up on pretty much the 2 the worst teams in baseball all season- Mariners and Astros. The Oakland A's aren't too much better. So IMO there's a good chance that the wild-card won't come from the AL East

Interested to hear whether you think the Heat will repeat or if you think the Lakers will take em down?

I can't say. It all depends on the health of Dwayne Wade going into the post season.
L.A. is going to be scary good. Haven't seen a team built like that ever.
Miami team is somewhat like the old Bulls teams with a dominant SG and SF and then a really good PF.
The League is going in an unreal direction. Great for the fans.
The Bulls never had this type of competition. They were one of maybe 2 or 3 stacked teams. Lots of stacked teams now and two huge powerhouses.
Competition among a group of 10 or so teams this year will be off the charts.
