WHY is Mack Brown Heralded as a great College FB Coach?
I just read another glowing article about him

This guy has done less with more then anyone in the last 13 years. Texas consistently has TOP recruiting classes...

Mack is NCAAFB's version of Bobby Cox

I dont care what the recruiting rankings are saying their recruiting is slipping. Shit Qb recruiting too look at all the qbs from the state of texas playing well else where mack thought garrett gilbert was cant miss Ash, mccoy and that other kid arent the answer. Houston, baylor, tcu, texas am, smu, and texas tech all have better qb play then the Longhorns when did you think you would see that?

He is not highly thought of in the state TX. He is a mediocre coach @ best, although he is an elite recruiter. W/o Vince Youngs amazing performance in the Rose Bowl, Mack never sniffs a national championship.

Would have had another if Colt doesn't get hurt in that game...That being said don't think Mack is very good at all. He and Texas have a very simple plan...Attempt to play easiest schedule possible, go undefeated and then master the five week layoff before championship game. He seems to have that down.

He is a good coach and a great recruiter. The past ten years were great, just hasn't had it since the bama beatdown.

Bama played the most conservative game possible on Offense and still ran-over Texas

Took UNC from being a joke to (2) Top-5 finishes.

He left for Texas and they promptly became a joke for another decade and a half.
