    Merriman to play this season
    despite 2 torn knee ligaments

    the dude is an idiot

can't have massive O lineman putting that much pressure on an injured knee

eventually he will go down in a heap and find out he is not tough but stupid

What a ridiculous decision, only doing it because he'll be a free agent next year and wants to ensure his value doesn't go down after sitting out a year. If he can duke it out somehow and have a great year and isn't scarred for life performance wise I guess it's a gamble he's willing to take.

He will probably won't make a single play. It's his way of forcing the issue to the Chargers.

He should do the surgery..it won't effect his value.

His ligaments are just torn its not like they are ****ed...There like almost ****ed...there is a difference.

Bad decision. The only credit I give him is he is tougher than that punk LT leaving the AFC championship when he was just a little dinged.

You can look at this another way, it could just possibly be the best 'inside' information you're going to get all year. The ONLY reason Merriman is risking his career to play is because he knows the Chargers are stacked and will probably get to the Superbowl, if not win it. See it for what it is.
