Tennis:The Australian Open will be full of upsets
I am following the tourneys in Sydney and Brisbane right now, and the performance of some TOP players really worries me, be careful betting the Aussie Open, some of them look like they ate too much over xmas, include our German Fraulein Lisicki, she looked awful yesterday, not sure about the Williams sisters and if they are healthy, Marion Bartoli was the only one i saw so far who seems to be prepared for the first big tourney
it could be very profitable betting dogs this year, we`ll see.......

roxxxxxxyfish, now she/he is a professional tennis capper giving everyone his/her opinion on that.

There are only 2 people to take advice from in the Australian Open, and that's Shari91 and demonata.

There are very few upsets in big tennis tourneys

The top seeds usually right there

As much as i would like Stosur to win and of course i have placed a bet on her to do so, i think she has too much pressure on her to do it.

You should ignore these two tournaments ... the real tennis beggins with Australian Open.

and roxxy, im still thinking that with most of the top players, no major = no care. they are just there to stay in form

Women's side you're not going to see the top four seeds line up like the men's side. Anyone who bets WTA tennis regularly pretty much should know this, not a big secret. All the chicks ranked 1-10 pretty much are interchangeable at this stage as far as opportunities to win and honestly the Top 20 is littered with chicks who can get hot and win a tournament any given week. The only person you know is showing up with the best chance to win a Slam is Serena. Everyone else is a big variable.

If you're using futures as hedge opportunities throughout the tournament, you can take a dark horse and make money at the right time. It;s pointless to talk price right now though because the draws really do make a substantial difference.

I used to bet futures wagers on long shots in mens tennis, those losses can really add up in the mens game even if you are only putting down a small amount on them. When you can get Nadal at 5 or 6/1?

Betting a futures in the womens game is just guessing right now, does serena want to shop or play tennis, she can do alot of shopping if she wins this rich tournament, but I think you would be crazy to have much confidence in a wta futures bet this year. Bartoli, Tomic, and Ferrer should be great to wager on in single matches to advance.

bartoli will win most likely win on the womens' side. she was the most focused at the end of last year and looks like she is so far this year also.
