This is the same Houston team that rallied for a 20-19 win against the Bengals a few weeks back despite 4 turnovers, a missed field goal, and other missed opportunities. Dalton in my opinion is just as scary as Yates and Houston has the better defense and run game. I know this is not an angle most gamblers like to take but I am expecting Reliant Stadium to be electric for their first playoff game and I believe that will re-energize the Texans and get them back in rhythm. Looking for others thoughts bc as it stands now I am contemplating a sizeable wager on Houston.
why is everyone on the Bengals?

#3flip side of that equation jay is the houston team you are betting on (and laying points with!) has lost their last 3 games including one to the coltsComment -

#4I understand that and I believe that is why most are on the Bengals. However I look at those 3 losses coming after Houston clinched their playoff spot and appeared "out of it" in those games. I guess I am just expecting a different team to showup but who really knowsComment -

#5It is only Thursday, but Dalton is fighting the flu. Rookie needs all the practice time possible. Not sure how much to read into, but needs to be monitored.

#10K, to say the Bengals should start Gradkowski instead of Dalton is just plain wrong. I think it should be a good game unless the Bengals can't stop the run.Comment -

#12Andy Dalton was back in the locker room on Thursday morning and said he is ready to practice today. Dalton missed yesterday due to a bout of the flu.
“I feel great. It was a tough day yesterday, but I feel a lot better than I did. I’ll be out there practicing and be ready to go,” Dalton said. “It was just a one-day thing. It was kind of out of nowhere. But I feel good now, so that’s a good thing.”
Even though Dalton did miss a day, the one slight advantage is that the Bengals did face Houston four weeks ago. Dalton also did say that he was at the stadium yesterday and did what the trainers told him to do, which was a visit to the hospital.
As far as making up for the missed day of practice, Dalton said that he can’t try to do too much and that it will be mostly the regular routine today.
“I’ve watched the film and I know what’s going on,” he said. “Obviously I would’ve liked to have practiced yesterday, but it didn’t happen. I’ll go out there today.”Comment -

#20That was also without Andre Johnson, but with him playing, the Bengals will have to respect him out there. Andre is the type of player that can make a rookie 3rd stringer look good. I expect Houston to win, but it will be a close game.Comment -

#26Cincy has been in every game they've played - at home and away. Houston has no momentum coming into the playoffs being that they clinched and have bombed since. This is a toss up IMO. Only possible play is under.Comment -

#30This game is a true toss up and there isn't enough value to justify a sizeable wager on either side. Don't blow your stack on week 1 of the playoffs. Foster isn't going to be able to run the ball. You can bet the Bengals will force Yates to beat them.
If you are an action junkie, I say tease it up and take Bengals + Lions with the points for a couple of easy covers.Comment -
