I think that it is a decent point to bring up, that the hard nosed defensive style is a grind and will wear down players fast in this season with less rest, and thibs tends to work his players pretty hard with lots of practice and shoot around mins to work on details.

At least the playoffs tend to have alot more spacing in between games

Yep, I'm not sure how the playoffs are running this year, but I can only assume that they will be spaced out like normal unlike the reg. season.

And unlike Dallas tonight, the bulls managed to score 20 in the first half, and still end up winning the game, because they have a "decent" defensive squad and were able to hold the other team to a small number at half.

Then again, I don't believe regular season performance matters too much, except for getting home court advantage.

Decent? Bulls play the best team defense in the NBA, hands down. Individually they are not the single best collection of defenders, but as a unit they're the best. Thanks in large part to Thibodeau.

Hard to imagine anyone arguing otherwise. That' not just decent. That's excellence. Nobody teaches and preaches defense like Thibs. Aside from Noah, he doesn't even have a naturally defensive-oriented group. He *made* Deng a + defender. He was average before Thibs. He even manages to hide Boozer at times.

And before that, he turned Ray Allen into defensively competent in his 30's.

But that was quite a poor performance on offense during that first half...But 1 regular season game doesn't decide if that team is championship contender.
