You can try and rationalize but their not gonna pay you, I guarantee it. I used to warn a book all the time when they put up the wrong lines, until they put one up and tried to stiff me, I aint warning them no more, but I have exploited bad lines before just to see if they would pay me, it would be for $5 each time and they did pay, just dont think you will with that bad of a line.
