Do The Colts Win One for Peyton?
Any insights on the answer to this will lead to $$
He has been their leader for years and they got to know he doesn't want Luck around.

I have been fading this team all year, except last week in which I took them on the Moneyline.

My thinking has been that they just seem far more determined to get Luck than anybody else. Last week, I took the ML because I sensed that they felt they had this Luck thing all wrapped up...

So I guess you can say I really have this team down this year and was going to unload on the Texans because the Colts don't exactly have this thing wrapped up yet...

Then I got to thinking.... (2 paragraphs erased for SBR audience) maybe I am the one who has been getting Lucky. It is still the players who play. I know the Colts want that first pick desperately, but how does this really trickle down to the coaches and then the players' on field performance?

So the question remains - Do Peyton's teammates win one for him? Do they love the guy, want him back, want him to be happy? Has anyone heard anything from players on this via the media?

My earlier prognosis lead me to looking at this from a management perspective and I did quite well with it, now I believe I want to look at this from the intention of the players.

      No.

Why would the players wait until so late in the season to "win for Peyton"?

Texans ML* is a big play for me here.
      * Also have them in a 2-team teaser which offers better value (net -241)

Now that the Colts are off the snide....I doubt they are going to go all out to win again...no reason to blow the No. 1 pick

Have done the same with teasers and such, but jut re-thinking a little.

Not a bad point on why now...but now it is framed clearly for them. The know what just one win would do now. Before they were in quite a tailspin, not to mention they had to look at Curtis Painter and him playing QB which would dampen ever the fiercest warrior's spirit.

just a little devil's advocate here.

Not sure what the hell the Colts are thinking....This was more of a Houston letdown and referee ticky-tack called game....Colts might of just blew the No 1 pick right there

But mgmt. made it clear they want Luck. First off the players all like Peyton. 2nd, they know Peyton can play another five years. Why would they want to lose?

Coaches tried to lose slyly at the beginning, running it a ton with worthless Addai, but at the end, they had to do what they did.

Personally, I would rather see Peyton playing and RGIII as the future....I'm not sold on Luck, and there's been a ton of hype on him before he even takes a snap

Indeed. I have to say that even on that final scoring drive I was still very confident.
The penalties were very expensive for Houston. Sucks.
