Shouldn't even be a so called National Championship game this year, LSU should be Champs no question asked. A team who lost at home and who's biggest win is at a bad Florida team, shouldn't get the chance to play for a fake national championship..

The national championship game should be LSU vs Ok State or Stanford ... games that haven't been played yet

In 2003 LSU lost at home to a conference opponenet that finished .500 yet LSU played for a title.

In 2007, LSU lost on the road to Kentucky yet they played for a title.

I guess it's ok to lose to a mediocre team if your an SEC team but it's not ok if you're anyone else. In Bama biggest game of the season, they only score 6 points when it matter most and the game was at home.

In OSU's biggest game of the season, they beat the #10 team in the country by 40.

This is a perfect illustration of the need for a plus-one. LSU v. Stanford, Bama v. OK State. Yeah, there's still controversy (non-conference champions Stanford and Alabama going ahead of other conference champs), but it's a lot better than what we have. It only takes one more game.

we at least need to demand to know people are working to fix things...whatever the solution. there is no right or fair answer as to who deserves to play in the nc. i doubt anyone here could look one of the players on our team in their eye and tell them they don't deserve to play in a title game. i could no more look in the face of a bama player and say the same...bama deserves it too. no right answer...just a powerful and corrupt system powered by money. all fans need to demand better for the future...regardless of if your team is in the nc or not. not taking away from bama...they have just as much claim as anyone, and maybe more. to say ostate doesn't also deserve tho, and to just move on and accept things the way they are is the kind of thinking that has allowed this joke of a "system" to continue.

I agree. That's fine if they have to play them twice because of a playoff but as it is LSU is really getting screwed. They are basically saying ok LSU, you have to beat Alabama twice. They are going to get 1 game in their backyard and another at a neutral site and all they have to do is beat you one of the two to blow your national title hopes and reach theirs. I still think LSU wins on a neutral field.

This season I see no injustice. This season I believe they are going to finally get it right. There have been seasons in the past where they messed up, but this season they are putting the two best teams in the nation in the championship game. It's not just because OKST lost to Iowa St. They gave up 34 points to Louisiana Lafayette, they gave up 33 points to tulsa, they gave up 37 to Iowa St., and they gave up 45 to Kansas St. Everyone knows defense wins championships, and OKST doesn't have a defense. If OKST played LSU they would get murdered. At least Alabama has a chance to win, and the reason they have a chance to beat LSU is because they are closer talent wise. They are at the moment, the second best team in the country.
