Partly true. We have a budget of points that we are going to give out every year. BeatThePrick and poker were greatly increased in 2011 as were blackjack specials, sportsbook specials and contests but yes, some specials were reduced or eliminated. We will award close to double the points in 2012 as we did in 2011 so we are not at all cutting back but we will reallocate on occasion.

then going forward if you renew you would not get it.

yeah but it makes sense from a business standpoint. the people who have been here 4.5 years will probably stick around anyway- you need to give incentive to the people who are just checking the site out so they make a decision to participate in mutually beneficial exercises.
