Here was my 175 Point Question this morning:

In my opinion, the correct answer is the New York Jets. However, according to SBR Trivia, the correct answer is the Detroit Lions?

I did some research and it looks like the Bills first win over an NFL team came on Sunday, October 4th, 1970 against the New York Jets. The Bills won, 34-31

If SBR can provide proof for their correct answer, please share it. If not, would you please reset my Trivia?

Werent the Jets still in the AFL in 1970? Hence, Buffalos win was not over an NFL team

Actually I think she was stripped of her citizenship overseas...and was granted US citizenship in the 80's...don't hold me to that though

My guess is that the question might've been referring to the Bills first win over a team that came from the NFL and not the AFL. But I'm honestly too tired at the moment to check through the stats to see if the Bills lost to every original NFL team they faced until that win against the Lions in '79 to see if my theory is right. As far as I'm concerned, your answer is correct based on how the question is phrased. I've forwarded this on to Admin because if it's intending to be something more tricky, which I assume it is since it's a 175 pointer, the wording doesn't reflect it.

That's the same site that I was researching, too.

The Bills didn't defeat the Lions until 1979. Detroit could not possibly be the correct answer.
