Well I was present for a hole in one but regretably I wasn't actually paying attention when it went in the hole. Doh!

About 12 years ago ... 185 yards ... 4-iron ... pure luck! As SBR John will attest, I'm very good at hitting them into those big holes full of sand and very bad at getting them out of those big holes full of sand.

I did on a par 3 course years ago. I'm not even a good golfer as it is not a real sport. It was once of those 18 hole courses that is all par 3. So it never really happened on a real course.

My golf career was quite short. It lasted about 3 summers in my teens. I just never had a feel for the game.
I think I might have had one birdie in my golfing career.

Does miniature golf count? Other then that, no other golf experience.

Many many times, I owned the hole right after the windmill.

No holes in one, but I once holed out a 5-iron from around 180.

I had one more than 10 years ago in a par 3 about 160 yards. Of course the rest of the round was regular slicing and hooking and total score became horrendous as always. The club might have been 8 iron, if I recall it right.

I witnessed a hole-in-one from playing partner about 150 yards. Later in the same round, I holed a 7-iron from about 160 for an eagle. One bounce and in.
The third guy in our group, who we only met that day on the first hole, had a hole in one on the same course about 2 weeks later. We read about it in the newspaper, which printed holes in one from area courses.

I've never had a hole in one, but I did make the best shot of my life last week out of a bunker into the cup on hole five at Wolf Run here in Reno...it was pretty sweet...
