Feel bad for the guy and doesn't feel right. I have seen gang-affiliated murderers get less time.

He was sentenced here in Houston. Cameras in the courtroom showed his mama screaming n crying, jusy flippin out. According to the local news, he had been busted 3 times in a year and that is why his rehab was denied and sent to prison. Hmmm wonder if he will start a prison team.

Agreed. If he's only harming himself, six years for an addict seems awfully harsh. I haven't read all the details so I don't know if they got him on intent to distribute or if anyone else was involved.

Domestically, the "drug war" is not about decreasing drug use or drug supply.

It incarcerates millions of felons on the basis of mandatory minimum sentencing
It provides profits for the privatized prison companies
It provides funds to U.S. organizations and individuals through drug money-laundering

The "drug war" allows covert agencies to use it as a source of black funding:

The government ought to look at themselves because they are they one doing the majority of the drug distribution in this country.

He does need help, but the guy was given many chances. 6 years is still far too long however.
