You can find value on these games sometimes, just as with any conference. MAC is wide open, but its games also have high posted totals, so you have to pick your spots with full-game 'overs'. Team Total 'overs' can still be good though, as well as big underdogs in general.

it seemed like the MAC was on the uprise 3 or 4 years ago, but it has taken a dramatic turn backwards. cheap touchdowns can become boring. seems like players just want to get season over with.

They do follow fairly predictable patterns. In years like this where there was no clear favorite to start like Temple, or Central Mich with LeFevour before that, you just take dogs not named Akron until a team like No Illinois starts to emerge form the pack. Hell, even EMU is a solid play most weeks this season.

In the MAC, the mistake is trying to really get in there and cap based on stats, injuries, and whatnot. Just keep it simple.

Next time Toledo are on TV, play a drinking game.

It is a shot for every play with blown coverage or missed tackle. If you are capable of walking at half-time you can really hold your liquor. These are comedy games.

I always take the underdogs in the MAC games. Any team ..can beat any team on any given night. Because they all suck!

If Ohio loses tonight, and Miami wins, Ohio can still win the East MAC by beating Miami next week, at home, correct?
SO the Ohio kids know they have a mulligan.
And to boot, Miami might lose to Western Michigan anyway.
SO Ohio has TWO MULLIGANS in the back of their minds, laying 7 pts on the road.
But Bowling Green is horse sh*t, how can you back them?
The other game, a decent Miami Ohio needs to win to keep their hopes alive, and are at home. But they have no running game. And WM played a stronger schedule and can pass and run.
Oh, hell, its getting colder, but just bet the overs in both games. Don't start watching the games until 9:45 EST.

I've seen MAC coaches go into the stand during a game, tell a student to "suit up", then put him in on defense.

i just blindly throw money on overs in these little ohio games. i don't know what i'm doing, but it works ok. why does ohio have all the football teams anyway? seems like there's like 24 schools there or somehting.
