    Wow.

My brain feels like I just got a wierd massage.

I knew some of that stuff, but those numbers are really stunning. Like if I've got a bank account and some cash on hand, I'm one of the 8% "lucky" people in the world. It says nothing about having any money in the said bank account or an amount of cash more than small pocket change.

If there is a meal in your refrigerator,

if you are dressed and have got shoes,

if you have a bed and a roof above your head,

you are better off, than 75% of people in this world.
A bit dubious of the stats on this one. Only one of those which is seriously lacking in the third world is the fridge. The vast majority of the worlds poor do have some clothes, a bed, etc ... not all ... but not 75% of the worlds population are without those things.

The consumption of the the worlds resources stats are staggering. The average US/European citizen consumes a vastly disproportionate share of the earths resources.

Id like to know more about the stats though. Maybe ganchrow can explain.

For example I have money, computer, 3G internet and no bed, no roof. Sleeping in my car... I believe the numbers are +/- correct. Many people are happy without it.

I'm actually sitting naked behind the computer (I think imgv posted a pic of me once) and theres nothing in my fridge that youd want to eat. So, hey, maybe I am one of the 75% after all.

*Rants* You rich bastards!!! Wheres my share?

Yes really! Few weeks ago left my girlfriend with flat. Two years ago I lived the whole year in my car and I must really say that it was one of the happiest times of my life. Now I am thinking what to do... I need one more NBA/NCAA season to get more money and then move out (from this country), but for serious overnight work i need place (now I have GMT -1, 5 AM). Indeed I can choose If I want I can have bed and roof, but many people can not. But I beleive many homelesses have much happier lives than normal people having difficulties. Assets are difficulties, if you have no assets, you have more freedom (only my opinion), more free time, it is great feeling. So I have more money than people around me, but seriously I am thinking about being homeless in this summer.
