Take off your beer goggles of love for Cruz. How much did he "miss" that ball by? Was it more than the amount of his slow up and crunch up? The answer to that is a resounding NO.

Dude, he wussed out in fear of crashing into the wall. It's that simple. I don't understand how you have a problem seeing that.

And to answer the question I know you're going to ask; no, I did not play baseball in any competitive way (little league only). But that's only because I found baseball boring. I played soccer as a youth and was a three year starter on varsity football. But having a kid who consistantly made all-stars and now makes first team all-league for his high school baseball team AND having coached baseball for several years; I think I can determine when someone has the ability to make a play on a ball or not.

Whether he would catch it or not is another question but make no mistake, that ball should have hit the center of his glove were it not for him chickening out (and EVERY player on my kids travel team feels the exact same way and each one of them knows the game better than you or I).
