sounds like the non-pros are winning alot in the sportsbook. dont you think the point rule will keep the non-pros with alot of points from becoming pros? i thought sbr wanted everyone to turn pro.
Maximun points allowed to transfer to an upgraded Pro acct is 25,000

#37SecretStash,
They dont need a grace period if you ask me. ANY NONPRO who has over 5000 points and has had them for over 1 week and doesnt become a pro isnt real high on the food chain anyway.
How many points do I owe you secret? I am paying it off todayComment -

#38This is a loyalty program offered for free. From the company's perspective I think we are well within our right to make reasonable changes to the program with or without notice. And offering to redeem up to 25,000 points to someone who had not up until this point became a Pro is reasonable in my opinion.Originally posted by secretstashdont u think its more fair to give these people a 30 day period before the change.. for instance the guy with 68k pts is now virtually Fd.. even though i think he is slightly a moron for not becoming a pro anyway
i do not think its fair to make it effective immediately.. just an opinion..

The points program has evolved from its humble beginnings. As you noted there have been some changes. We are trying to get the program solidified so there are not any material changes down the road.
This rule is consistent with the company limiting its exposure while balancing that with a program that's fun and rewarding.
Several have speculated that SBR will inflate or devalue the points to compensate for freeloaders. I can assure all Pros and everyone else that is not the plan.
sbrjohn-
he is also saying you are still not limiting exposure enough. if you limited it more there, then you could perhaps theoretically compensate by loosening up even more elsewhere, in a way that would benefit pros more.
other people-
dont forget that deal justin7 offered trixtrix to make him bet more so he wouldnt cash out where he was at that point. (i assure you he made this deal with trixtrix because he thought he was smart, not because he thought trix was stupid.)
it can possibly be beneficial to SBR from a business-standpoint to let non-pros try their luck again and then chase, instead of stopping at 8000 or 12000 or whatever stops and puts you think would be better for SBR financially.Comment -

How many points did trixtrix win? I remember reading something about him last year, he was betting correlated parlays or something and winning massive amounts but I'd love to know the details.

Aren't you pissed off at all luckychuck? Your 75K points or whatever you won is now reduced to 25k points. A 50K points loss is like $2,500 real money....the right thing to do would be for SBR to not make this new rule retrospective, any non SBR pros that had over a 25K point balance before this new rule keeps it as long as they turn SBR pro within 30 days or something would have been the right call.
I hope they do something for you luckychuck because getting screwed out of $2,500 worth of points or so would be infuriating...to say the least.Comment -
