He also gave slumping howard the green light on a 3-0 count. It wasn't just this game. He doesn't manage at all. He just makes lineup cards and throws out his stud starters and expects to win. Did his team even attempt to bunt at the start of batting? Smalllball helps.

agree, sometimes u need to adjust to other teams

that stolen base attempt by utley, howard up 3-0 in count and getting green light

cliff lee only pitches one game, no way he would of lost 2

halliday in game 4, lee in game 5 should of been the call

I think they said only one lead off batter reached base, and it was Utley....

So that would mean Pence is up next... you don't bunt with your 3rd hitter.

In the post game interview, Charlie said Howard has had the green light all year and he didnt tell him to take there, I guess thats just f'n common sense, which Ryan Howard obviously has none of!

I agree with playing small ball in this case, your guys clearly weren't doing anything and small ball could of made a big difference. NO ONE on that team should have been swinging 3-0, it makes no sense. Anyone who tells you swinging on the 3-0 pitch is good idea is a total f'n moron, there is no reason for it!

They lost when they lost game 4. Only thing I blame Manuel is putting Halladay on the mound instead of Lee. But maybe he would've pulled him if Halladay had a meltdown FF? Who knows?
