#37you don't seem to be working now since all you do is post your fake nonsense. how do you explain that. some employee you must be, working hard on the sbr forum in the middle of the day. does your boss know that you aren't actually working today or is he hiding from his boss like you are.Comment -

#45the truth hurts griz. you want a raise, trying actually doing something instead of posting all day. real tough job you must have. i'm sure you won't have it for very long.Comment -

#47No offense I know there's a lot of hard workers out there, but money is pretty easy to come by, I don't see why so many ppl complain about never having enough, even in this slow economy. I'm not a millionaire but I'm 110% positive I could be if I invested all my time into that pursuit. I'm a freelance graphic artist and student currently and I only work about 20 hrs a week and still rake about 55k a year, which isn't **** me running money, but considering the time alotted is quite substantial. Two things, #1 network, in any job that's the most important skill (which kind of means you have to be very a likeable guy), and #2 if you don't like it, quit. Don't ever waste your time with a job you hate, it's really counterintuitive and there's always a million ways to circumvent the rules to pursue something you do like. Then again, I'm single, young, and no kids so maybe I don't know shit about real life yetComment -

#50the human body couldn't work 80 hours a week on road construction. by the third day total exhaustion would set in and production would tail off considerably. that's why they have 2 shifts to do it. probably a 6am-4pm and a 4pm-12am shift. no one works both. when and how could you sleep or eat or do anything else. why would they want to pay overtime and get a tired worker, when they could hire two fresh crews and pay. out little overtime. common sense.
prevails here. griz is not that valuable
to any employer to need him to work
from 5am-10pm. get real.Comment -

#51My dad runs a large construction company. Your theory of two workers makes sense logically, but to your surprise, road construction laborers aren't just sitting around. It takes a special type person to be able to do this work and It takes time to learn the tools of the trade. You can't just have anyone working on major projects that have penalities for errors. I promise you don't know everything manComment -

#52You think I'm wrong? Then
Why did a company come into the area and offer simple laborers that you seem to think don't require very many skills and talents 20k signing bonuses to get them to come work for them? Why wouldn't they just hire someone for 18$/hr? Unemployment is high, it shouldn't be too hard to find people. Truth is, I am in college. Does that make me an idiot? I bet you don't even have a job that requires any kind of thought or mental input.Comment -

#55money, you missed the point. does your father work his workers 80 hours a week. i doubt it. that is the issue. not that there are 1 or 2 shifts of workers on a job or not. the lincoln park goof off (who wants a raise but spends all his day on here) thinks i'm in high school, but he's nasty because i called him out for holes in his fabricated story of being an underpaid employee in a job that probably doesn't even exist.Comment -

#60Damn I thought 50 hours a week was a lot. I'd recommend gambling to supplement ur income if u can. No one here is ever going to be Billy Walters. I say keep working gamble on the side, and if u get fired, collect unemployment and still gamble.Comment -
