Nope, unless you have them move furniture around in your house that was not part of the delivery

If you can afford it, do it. It's the cool thing to do.

It's not tipping I believe in. It's overtipping.

Yes, they expect it (at least in the US).
My tip might vary based on what floor I live on, how many of them there are etc. If there are two that are pleasant enough just give a 20 spot.

Tell them you will buy them a pizza... then proceed to tell them about SBR and how you will transfer them 142 points for the pizza.

If there are stairs or it's awkward or a long way from the truck. And if they do it professionally. Give em a cold six pack.

This is a slippery slope.
Delivery guys are usually (not always) thuggish brokedicks who are on the shady side already. Keep an eye on them when they are in your place. If they keep looking around at what you have or want to use your bathroom then you might be in trouble. If they are doing this they are casing your place and will be back for a visit when your not home. If you tip them that shows them you keep cash at home and may pay you a visit if they need a quick crack fix.
Then again if you don't tip them they make come back out of spite and take their tip in the form of your computer, flat screen TV, PS3 and any thing else they can pawn or sell on craigslist for a few bucks.
I say tip them before they come in, or have them leave the sofa outside and carry it in yourself.

It is not a North American custom to tip furniture delivery guys. Kind of like how noone tips the cooks and waitresses at McDonald's
