By notebook you mean those little tiny netbooks?

Sucks you had to find out the hard way, they are good for word processing.

Tablets are way more convenient IMO. I need to get a tablet.

I have had about 10 toshiba laptops at least. They are all I use pal.

Right now im running toshiba i5 core w/ 4gb ram its a gr8 laptop was around $800

I do want an ipad though, for travels. Laptops become a hassle on airplanes and in cars.

... had my netbook 3 years now .. awesome bit of kit.

Kicks I-pads ass in terms of productivity ... smaller and more convenient for roadtrips/flights than a regular laptop.

I'd buy another one tomorrow if my current netbook crapped out on me.

10 inch screen, regular keyboard, much better for general browsing, watching movies etc, working .. decent enough battery life and right around $200 total.

I've had an Acer netbook for a year. Great deal. A little over $200. No real issues. Very light. Great battery life.

Netbooks are extremely popular. I see them all over.

Sure, a Macbook or iPad is preferable, but they're more expensive and have their own drawbacks.

Netbooks get great battery life. Most of them get between 8-10 hours of battery life
