#3It's sad. But just like the post about 40%+ of Europeans have a mental illness, so do most Americans. The problem is, food is our comfort in America. We have always had more than enough. It's been something we can control and have been able to since birth. Americans use it to gain some mental stability, telling themselves they have "something" under control.
Stress is often dealt with in many different ways, usually unhealthy ways are easiest. It's easier to eat, drink, or simply distract yourself from the real problem. Eat your way to a different problem is usually the case. However, being fat doesn't hurt as much as the emotional pain/trauma of abuse or whatever the original problem was.
Until we can learn to deal with problems in a healthy way, there is no stopping the obesity train in America. Being a lazy slob doesn't just happen randomly. There are often problems from childhood that need attention, through therapy, in order to move on from them. Simply ignoring them or distracting ones self from them will only lead to more problems.Comment -

#4There is a really easy step to take, since parents don't take care of their kids anymore or what they eat.
A company should not be allowed to sell a "meat" item when only about 35% of the product is real meat. Looking at you MCDs, taco bell, wendys etc...
That is the main problem.Comment -

Look at WHY people eat. WHY do they eat fast food? Do you really think we are tricking people in to thinking McDonalds is healthy? Do they choose McDonalds over a home-cooked meal because they were told it's much healthier for them?Comment -

#7So changing the name from "beef burrito" to, "Burrito Grande" at Taco Bell would change the obesity problem? You haven't even come close to scraping the surface of the problem.

What does names of items have to do with anything because I know I didn't say they did..
really everything you said have nothing to do with what I said, try reading it again.Comment
