#257Seer can you please explain to me what you see in Atlanta ? Maybe I'm missing something but Atlanta is not a good football team. Everything starts up front and Atlanta struggles severly to protect Ryan. Yes, I know GB is 31st against the pass but if your OLINE can't protect it negates all of that. I'm feeling GB minus everything up to 9 and the OVER!Comment -

#258zboiz, because a TD to give Atlanta at home is too many. This should be a fg game either way and I would take a TD in this situation every time. I think the total is too high as well.
7-4 so far today with a pending teaser on Atlanta +12

#2609-5 so far this week in the NFL
Detroit was the beneficiary of two colossal chokes the past 2 weeks. Minny held them to 20 yds rushing and 1 yd per carry and let up and let big plays kill them in the end. Detroit still had trouble scoring TDs in the 2nd half. Hanson came through with 5 fgs. In Dallas, Romo gave up 2 pick 6s and a 3rd pick in what was basically a blowout happening. Detroit is a good team but not as good as they are given credit for. The other 2 teams had a case of getting ahead easily and then coasting. I'm not sold that Detroit is 7 points better than Chicago. Chicago has already played New Orleans and Green Bay. Detroit hasn't. This should be two 2-2 teams playing each other. Chicago is used to playing in prime time games and Detroit is not. I think there is too much distraction for them and expect maybe a win but won't cover similar to Tampa Bay.
5.5 was a no play for me but when it moved to 7 it was time to take the points here.

#261Is it just me or is that pick 2 days too late?Probably a good thing though.... Keep up the good work Seer! I enjoy your picks and how they include write-ups. Too many people on here just throw their picks around without giving any rhyme or reason as to why they're even picking.

#265I went 2-11 in NCAAF last week losing over 10 units, worst weekend ever. The NCAAF overall record is now 33-38 for -8.35 units. When you bet alot of dogs and all the favorites cover, shit happens. The books will adjust and it will turn around. I'm not too worried. NFL is still doing real well, 9-6 last week and picking up another +2.35 units for a total of 39-28 for +9.45 units in the NFL overall, still showing an overall profit for both sports.
Thursday:
San Diego St +7
under 59
SDSt is used to seeing option football. They play Air Force every year and have played Navy already this year. Normally, the spread is set at a fair number except for one huge thing. The Air Force defensive line has been hit hard with injuries. Service Academies aren't very deep at any position but in the trenches where size matters is even more magnified. AF will be undersized and under experienced there tonight again the Aztecs. Air Force is gonna do their share of rushing but SD ST will have plenty of success rushing the football as well which will force this game under the total. Overall, I expect another tight one like last year and SD St threatening to win outright. leaning SD ST ML as well. Here is some info http://www.sportsfanlive.com/web/art...ns&tid=twitter
1st half CAL +1.5
If Cal is gonna get USC again this is the year. In their last 2 games vs Oregon and Washington they were down by 1 at the half. They tend to fight hard in the first half and fade in the second which is why I can't take them for the entire game here.Comment -

Bodog still has that juicy line up. Les Miles will continue to burn money as a DD conference fav. Matt Sims played all of the tough games last year including coming up one play short of beating them last year. Even though there is some drop off of talent from Bray, it's not as much as the odds makers adjusted for. This should be -10 not -18. I expect low scoring ball control game.Comment -

adding:
Virginia +8
Georgia Tech has beaten non conference opponents by 42, 28, & 42. However, they have only beaten conference opponents by 7, 5, & 10. Teams that are used to seeing option football (such as conference opponents) know their defensive assignments much better. This Virginia team is much improved from recent years as well. I wouldn't be surprised if they won outright at home.Comment -
