#7Al Davis used to be one of the sharpest guys in the NFL...the problem is that was 40 years ago.
Al is the same guy who thought Jamarcus Russell was an NFL QB because he could throw it 80 yards from his knees.
By all accounts, Pryor is a 2-3 year project, at best.Comment -

#9Don't think so. This league is past that kind of BS. I agree that Al Davis is now one of the worst owners in the league along with Bidwell(AZ) and Brown(CINC), but his motto is just win baby. He really thinks this kid has a shot. Time will tell.Comment -

#10ANYBODY that thinks Pryor has any shot of ever winning ANYTHING in the NFL is clueless...
Will he get ignorant Raider Fans fired up to buy a ticket, yes..
Will he help fill the "black QB" quota? Yes
But he will never win, not that it matters...
The only thing that matters in today's world is being politically correct..Comment -

Was J.Russell gonna be a TE or WR??
Is Jason Campbell gonna be a TE or WR??
Why fire Tom Cable and hire H.Jackson (black coach quota) after he lead them to an 8-8 record when the team had no business winning 4???
You couldn't fukk this organization up any more than this if you tried!!!
It's all a big joke, kinda reminds me of America today... We hired a socialist college student to run our country just because he is HALF BLACK... You don't think QB's are given jobs in the NFL because they're black???
You know how many Colt McCoy's are bagging groceries because of the Black QB experiment in the NFL???

#19Pryor is a great athlete. I don't know if he will ever be a top NFL QB but if not I think he would be an awesome WR or TE. He runs a 4.3 and he is 6'6 and solid muscle.
Get this kid the ball in space and he will be scoring TD after TD. Freakish athlete. You can't even compare Tebow to Pryor.... Pryor is a much better athlete.Comment -

#21At the very least the Raiders can design a wild cat package for him to get on the field as a change of pace. Imagine Pryor and McFadden in the backfield and you don't know which one is going to have the ball. Unstoppable.Comment -

But what are you gonna do when it's 3rd and 8 and need a first down more than ttwarrior needs a bath???
Brady, Manning, Rodgers, P.Rivers, Brees...
These are great QB's..
You know what they have in common???
They can look off a safety or linebacker , make the right read and get big First Downs when they NEED THEM....
This is why they WIN!!!

Think about if Pryor was forced to take a full year off what is his value in the 2012 draft??
What if he was available in this years draft??
Pryor was never going in the 3rd round this year or next year. As usual the Raiders grossly overrate and pay for a prospect.Comment -

#24yeah I can see that. I guess they were afraid someone else would draft him if they passed on him.
I think Pryor will be a valuable player though. Can you believe the Panthers traded this years #33 overall draft pick for Armanti Edwards... now that is bad move.Comment -

al made a brilliant selection actually. pryor may not have a future as an nfl qb but he can definately help them as a receiver. he may not have much experience as a wr but i guarantee he'll have a far better career than that colossal bust, darrius heyward bey.
this selection reminds me of jags selecting matt jones not as a qb but as a wr. if it doesn't work out, they only wasted a 3rd round pick and not 1st like the jags.Comment -

#31I see Pryor having a great career with the Raiders...Should start to open some doors for a declining team...Given the fact that he is a younger guy with LOADS of talent..Kid can run,.throw,.catch..should be very useful for this team.. Great choice..Im excited to see him get some snaps under his belt...
Wouldn't it be nice if after numerous QB's in and out of the Raiders organization already this kid is finally the future...?? HMM just a thought...Comment -
