Call the book say you want to see if you can at least place an if wager off that open play since they wont let you cancel it. That way IF the cricket game wins you will have action on the current games...but sorry 2 weeks in advance you had to have been blacked out to do this wager.

                        yeah, up to the book.

sounds like it'd be a good move by them to cancel it, given the mistake in time was made in good faith.

It is entirely up to the book, but if the line hasnt moved and if there hasnt been any major team news affecting the game, then I think some books would cancel it for you - though most will stick to the "no voiding" policy...

It depends on the book, intertops will cancel it if you contact them within minutes after you place the bet but if you do it regularly they probably would stop.
bodog i remember gave me some free play money because they couldn't cancel the bet, and wanted to retain me as a customer, i still don't understand why they gave me the free play money but i didn't argue with them.

My book has cancelled one for me, but it was within just a few minutes of making the bet. The 2nd time I did it I didn;t realize my mistake until the next morning, and they said no. I took an under by mistake when I wanted over so I just bet the over for double the amount. In your situation it sounds like you didn't even want to bet the match at all so not sure what to do. If you bet the other side to even it out you will have another $100 locked up for 2 weeks... I say just ride it out
