New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan said the starting offense and defense will play one quarter in the first preseason game Monday, Aug. 15.

JETS will run the ball , and they have Bilal Powell likely toting it a lot tonight vs 2nd to 4th string D from TEX , Bilal was a huge stats guy in college last year, came outta nowhere, I am excited to see him play

hoping for a nice 2nd half line, I agree that Yates and Matt Laxheart will struggle vs jets defense which is all pressure even from the bums

Jets starting Defense kicked the hell out of the starting Houston offense which I admit is without their 2 best guys......The Jets starting offense moved the ball really well on the Texans 1st team D but couldn't capitalize

Other than that, pretty standard for preseason games

No they don't have a crystal ball with each and every play in the future. However his point is the line was set well by the oddsmakers as it usually is. You can try and say "if he caught this" if they didn't drop that" and on and on and on...but the bottom line is when the game was over it was a 4 point win and if you had +3 it didn't cash. The goal for the oddsmakers is to get the line as close to what the end result will be and let you take the side of your choice. Ideally half the bettors take one side and half the bettors take the other because the line is tough to jump on one side or the other. Leaving all the money to be made on the juice...

I know how football betting works.....I was just being sarcastic and bitter after the loss

Bottom line is it came down to a semi-easy drop by a WR who made it all the way past college ball to an NFL pre-season roster....
