This at the very least confirms Philly as a the Superbowl favorite from the NFC and they seem to be piling up more weapons everyday.

I wonder how Philly fans will feel if they fail to make the playoffs? There is a long running joke about the Eagles and their "Trophy Case"... Obviously Eagles fans are passionate. They must be acting like silly school girls, salavating at their teams chances. One has to wonder how close a Philly fan will be to the end of their rope should they fall flat this season.

there defense was good, was it great?

But with the additions of babin jenkins, rodgers, and asu, i think our defense is pretty sured up to be 'good'. Our passing defense went from having a third string cb to the best coverage cb in the game.

C'mon guy really?? He's a poor coach cause he hasnt won a superbowl? Andy Reid is a top level coach imo and has done plenty of winning minus a superbowl ring.
I understand plenty can happen over the course of a season but on today August 2nd the Eagles are the clear cut superbowl favorite.
Would like to hear an argument to the contrary and not just some generic bullshit about how the coach doesnt have a ring or offseason champions never win.

Plenty of good coaches never get a SB ring, but the great ones usually do. Reid is great in the regular season, but come playoffs he goes into fetal position. Look at his history without being biased and the facts are the same. He coaches scared in the postseason. Philly is certainly not the clear cut SB favorite. Packers, Pats, Colts, Saints, Steelers are right in the mix.

Agree with almost everything you said..... but you didnt really disagree with any of my original points.
Reid is a good coach and perfectly capable of coaching the team to the SB. (I agree with you about his resume but wouldnt blame those playoff losses all on Reid either)
Packers, Pats, Steelers are certainly in the mix but Philly is a cut above and the clear favorite imo.

Ronnie Brown is a good character guy... hard worker on and off the field... I think he pushes McCoy to be even better and may even steal a few carries on early downs. Ronnie is not done yet.

I'd be way more concerned with the fact that Vince Young will be taking snaps at some point than whether or not Vick has improved as a qb. Season is too long for me to pick a SB winner. Philly fans have reason to be optimistic with the moves they have made, but it is a short time to get a lot of new guys together.
