ok so those that still had plays left for round 3 get them moved back to round 3 but what about those that used up all their round 3 plays and made picks yesterday?

And agree with Foldi, this was well known early on in the day yesterday... why wait so long to make this announcement?

This is excellent example how somebody can screw you. I was not making picks after i secured 1st place and you graded contest as finished for month july. Than i maked 3 picks for august and now all of the sudden this picks was counted for july and i lost my first place. Thank you again after that 888 sports mess.

It is quite clear that this poster had secured 1st place and would have made ZERO picks yesterday had the month of July still had been active, he was 15 units in first.

Hi necro,

I apologize for the hiccup.

The contest does clearly list 'monthly rounds'. Ultimately, picks made on July 31st belonged under July's month (Round 3).

It's certainly unfortunate that picks made on July 31st were tallied up under 'Round 4' (new month). It was obvious to most contest players that they belonged in round 3, we actually received several messages to that effect.

i will say though if i were to be leading the contest and didn't need to make any picks i would not have made any picks until like the 2nd day of the next month just to be on the safe side.

it was -ev to make picks on july 31st in that spot

This can be a learning moment for SBR

In the end, several messages were sent to administration, several messages were posted on the contest boards yet no one offered clarification as to what was going on. Accept responsibility that you fukced up, screwed over deposing players and move on. And give Necro the money he deserves.

As Lou stated, multiple PM's were received. I see multiple messages on the chat logs for all contest as early as 11AM

Don't get me wrong, It was nice to wake up and see I was in first, but it was a little bitter sweet.

I appreciate what SBR does for us, but they should admit to some sort of blame here and make it right...

You just don't get it. The damage is done and amplified with excuses such as

You spin it around and accuse us of being irrational, that somehow we shouldn't be "angry" or feel "screwed". You are doing everything to plead the case that this is everybody's fault but SBR's. I'm truly sorry if you feel that irreparable damage has been done.

There were multiple failures involved yesterday, both from a support & contest perspective. You're 100% right that it's not the user's fault that they didn't know something was wrong — I didn't mean to give that impression by referencing the users that did realize the round was ending one day prematurely.

We're analyzing who was effected and going from there. Proceed with teeing off if you wish.

Unless Necro is just ignorant, clearly EVERYONE knew that yesterday was July 31st which meant the plays were still for July. Since it's a month long contest, don't blame the change or screw up of a computer when you knew it was still the month of July. You knew it wasn't August yet, go cry to someone else. You made the plays not anyone else, you knew what month it was when you put your plays in. You knew it wasn't August 1st and a new month had started don't play stupid now cause you fvcked up and now want to blame someone else cause you lost your plays. True Degenerates at their best.

Are you suggesting that a poster who is in 1st place by 15 units would make (3) unnecessary selections on the last day of a contest? To do so would indeed be ignorant.

When I finished in 5th I was disappointed because there was a 5 unit difference between me and 2ed and I thought its on July 31st why can't I use my 4 picks I have remaining. So I thought I had wasted my picks with that said sbr made it seem this month was over and made some of the top dawgs like nerco do plays he normally wouldn't have done. I think nerco deserved 1st place and I don't mind if I'm dropped back down to 5th

You can't add or subtract our units.. The only fair thing is to give Necro first place money as well...

So many better ways to go about this where everyone could have came out on top, the guys that placed from last month and all the guys that play games yesterday for this month... we all could have came out on top without even having to put extra prize money in the pool.. not rocket science here but instead the guys from last month get screwed while the guys that played games yesterday for this month get screwed.. nobody wins in the route taken here but I'm just a poster.. WTF do I know.
