I'm really pulling for Newton to do well simply for Steve Smith. I love that kid and he deserves a solid quarterback. I'm optimistic that we win 5 games this year but with a new head coach/qb situation we may be lucky to win 2.

why do so many people think he's overpaid yet the same people continue to watch the games, buy jerseys, buy $75 tickets, etc etc...

where do you think your money and the advertisers money should go?

if the nfl sells over 200,000 newton jerseys this year at an average of around $100 that's $20 million this year alone, and that number doesn't count tv ratings, t-shirts, etc etc.
so to say he's not worth the money is completely ignorant, if you can sell over $20 million/year of merchandise with my name on it then i'm probably worth $5 million/year whether i play well or not.
