When they got Moss it was the steal of the century. They got what they needed out of him and then when they traded him to Minnesota, it was Steal of the Century #2. It won't work this time though. Now they are just trying to prove how smart they are and it will backfire. Chad Johnson is nothing more than a mediocre starting receiver these days and the baggage simply isn't worth the trouble.

Palmer's arm is brutal yes. But Ochocinco's skills have also deteriorated over the last few years.

They don't need him to put up 2007 Moss numbers, but what they do need is that extra weapon on offense. Now defenses have to decide who to focus on. Ocho? Welker? Branch? Tate? Edelman? Hernandez? Gronkowski? Woodhead? Law Firm?

There's a lot of weapons on this offense, and I guarantee Brady will be finding whatever mismatches are available. Plus, Ocho has wanted to come to the Pats for a long time, he and Belichick are close, he'll be a model teammate. No one has ever questioned his work ethic....

Loving the Dolphins? They have Chad Henne at QB, no WR's and are relying on a #2 draft pick semi-bust...they'll finish 3rd again the AFC East and won't even sniff the playoffs. Pats and Jets will be battling it out again for the top spot.

Chad was never the problem in Cinnci. Horrible coaching, piss poor lineman on both sides of the ball and a bad owner playing GM is what has killed Cinnci.

Ocho hasn't been brought in to be the franchise. He's just another tool for Brady to use on his already loaded offense. It's not often Belichuk is wrong about something. New England will be around deep into January.
