you would think the way shari91 talks losing the US customer base would have NO IMPACT at all to SBR's bottom line

#73nobody cares about your plays buried in a sub forum...trust me on that
you dont post your plays in players talk because you dont want them to be seen...and everyone knows the reason why
post a play for ALL to see or else your words about 'contributing' are nothing more than the usual fluff you dribble out in your essays
nobody cares about your automated views eitherI'm automating views yet I have people bumping my thread because I took the past week and a half off from tennis. Be proud of those 25 threads you made. Good job.

#76If you're talking about me, I'll vote for anyone at this point who attempts to fix this bloody mess. I'm just really surprised a politician hasn't successfully stepped up to the plate yet. I will say though that the guy who got my vote in the last US election sure as hell isn't getting it again because he doesn't seem to be much better/different than the freedom haters who came before him.Comment -

#82Nah, didn't realise that. Have been living under a rock the past few years. You do realise that the guy in office right now who is watching fake processors being set up, the government spending a book's funds on cop cars and having poker sites shut down while Americans' hard-earned cash is in limboland is a Dem, right? Neither of those parties are better than the other at this point and unless someone steps up and finally says enough is enough, neither party is getting my vote. I'd rather give it to JJ at this point. Despite what you like to believe, I actually have a vested interest in Americans being allowed to sportsbet online and it has nothing to do with SBR. Watching any of this happen not only angers me, it saddens me but unfortunately as one person I don't have much recourse other than to withhold my puny vote from those who continue to smack Americans down.Comment -

#88Ah ok, cool. I personally don't have a lot of bad things to say about Obama (although there definitely is some) but I am really pissed off at what's been happening the past few months. That cop car incident was the icing on the cake for me. I have cash sitting in FullTilt that's been left for dead and watching so many people across forums lose money and have their options cut is seriously making me angry. He didn't initiate this process but he's done nothing to squash it or slow it down either (that I've seen anyway) but really I can only blame myself for naively assuming that this wouldn't happen under his watch.Comment -

#90Bet365, Will Hill and Ladbrokes are three major sponsors. Some of the Euro books dont want to be global so if youre in the USA you might not see them and our full list of advertisers.
There was a time 365 and willhill were taking US players and there was a lot more business. But with a business you evolve or die. Thats why SBR is the only growing forum in the facebook age when forums aren't as popular. We'll have 2 million visists a month this football season.Comment -

#93What is really funny is lets say not one book took American Players our USA traffic would still be heavy
Why??
They would visit site for various reasons whether point book, posting picks, general sports talk, sbr lines
your gamblers and you will still find ways to bet therefore seek gambling info even if not book relatedComment -

You can hate on him for a lot of other things but this gambling thing is 100% the result of bush and the republicans and there should be no denying that.Comment -

why does he get any blame at all for this? he didn't draft it. he didn't sneak it through in the middle of the night. he didn't sign it in to law. nor do i recall him ever mentioning it during his campaign. it's probably not even top 20 priority for him.
what i find hypocritical is whenever he takes 15 mins out his day to fill out his march madness bracket, neocons want him burned at the stake because they claim he has "more urgent things to do with his time." same response when he tweeted about the us women's soccer team recently. yet they now want him to devote all his time and energy on a law concerning sports?
apparently if he obeys the law, he's no different than the scoundrels that enacted it. but if he opposes the law, he's labeled an anarchist who is stomping & pissing on the us constitution.
damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.Comment -

#101This fall will be a make it or break it quarter for SBR. No one knows the impact of this crackdown on US posters. I'm making a bold prediction that their revenue will be half of what it was last year based on US posters not depositing at the books SBR got them to sign up as affiliates because these books have closed their accounts.Comment -

#103Honest question: Do you think if every offshore book said no to US customers, that Americans would stop coming here? Based on what I see - especially in PT - a lot of people aren't even using this site for all or any of the gambling tools it offers. Many are here just to socialise, talk about sports, troll, etc... In fact for some I think it's more of a habit or a fun place to hang out online than anything to do with gambling as I suspect quite a few don't even have books funded. There are many people who openly admit that they don't gamble or stopped gambling yet they're still active on the forum so they're still finding value here but it just may not be what one would assume would be the traditional reason for it.Comment -

#104SBR is moving forward. We just need to keep creating cool things for everyone to get involved in.
Btw the SBR reviews are more popular than ever probably because many guys are looking for expert info on where they should play now. That area is quite strong.
Our goals are to improve in all areas. We continue to hire. Our sales to Euro books has grown nicely. Contests like the recent SBR poker Ryder Cup are examples of how we need to grow the entertainment value for all comers.
If this was a horse race the jock callers would maybe say we are passing some tired horses as it does appear our competitors are out of gas. But give the devil his due. SBR is still investing heavily in the content so that folks can come here and have a great time now and an even better time in the future. We will stay focused on providing great entertainment and info and if we provide a site you guys really like we will be ok.Comment -
