cannot hit lefties at all with the injuries, but dont forget Prado and Jones their two best hitters vs. LHP.

how were they lucky? 2 out of the 3 in the series went into over time. one went to the braves and the other to the phills. Sounds to me like they are pretty even.

Sure if 14-1 is even in the rubber match
Jones and Prado wouldn't have accounted for 13 today.
Braves are good but Phils pitching depth too much. No surprise there.

Don't wanna get in this argument, but do wanna point out that the phills two all stars were both out which should null out the prado/Jones arguement.. and the phills entire pen was out as well, but I do not think it would have mattered much in this series. Was a well played series with hamels just being better then Lowe today and the phills bats being a step ahead of the braves. Braves are the second best team in the nl though, no arguement here.

braves are missing 2 big parts of their bullpen too gearin would be in AAA and proctor would be bagging groceries right now if it weren't for injuries

Braves lose tonight and the east race is OVER
you can just feel the momentum moving completely to the Phils...bullpen is loading back up...offense is...sufficient
Good run for the braves but they're just over their heads...should cruise to the wildcard though

The Minor League Pitching Coaches....
should heve all this to their credit---------------
nobody knows their names, however, you can't argue with facts & PITCHING-----
the days of Maddux, Glavine, and Smoltzy are gone yet here they are....
gives you moment to pause and reflect..............yes............huh? ..............yes?

I think they are rated right about where they should be, behind the Giants and Phillies

I think they are over-rated looking at thier record, I think their pitching staff has over-preformed and I am not in love with thier offnese. Their back end of their bullpen is top notch, but if you look at the NL and compare them to say the Brewers. Offense, you would give the edge to the Brewers. Defense , push. Starting Pitching, Slight edge when healthy to the brewers, bullpen push.
So yeah, i think they are heading for a down turn, but if you look at the rest of the NL who else is going to win the NL wildcard?

Not overrated, they are what they are and that's a solid contender that should make the playoffs but lose in the first or 2nd round
