Trying to hunt down the bitch trying to steal my identity. Help?
Long story short... About a week ago, I discovered unauthorized charges on my DC of about $500 for various crap, but mostly to this website voguewigs.com that sells hair extensions and wigs. Today, I get a letter in the mail saying I was rejected for a CC to onestopplus.com, an online store for fat chicks and plus sized clothing. Yes, the CC application was rejected, but the point remains that someone has gotten a hold of atleast some of my information and is attempting to steal my identity.

I'd like to know if anyone knows of ways to find out who this person is and where they are from? I'd like to meet this fat bitch. Feel free to PM me if you do not want to respond here. Thank you.

Maybe you can call the onestopplus store back, and tell them situation, see if they will "re-evaluate" her application and get her dumbass to somehow correspond with the store. BAM. Maybe she is stupid.

    Get em.

Tried calling the number for their credit department, but you need an account number (which I don't have) to get anywhere with their automated system. The other option is to put in your social security #, which i refuse to do. I just sent them an email so hopefully that will lead somewhere

these sound like sportsbook or poker deposits

anyways you might want to try lifelock or something like that to stop these things or put a freeze on your credit

Actually... this was my first thought. I just recently sent my book a photo of my card to enable withdrawals, but I had the security code blacked out. What makes you say that though? Do you have experience with this?

Go to the police station and file a report..... here is what happened to me, and you can get an idea of what will happen. Years ago, my wife and I noticed some charges on our account from target. I went to the police station and made a report that our identity had been stolen. These stores / CC companies can only tell you soo much even though it is your account that is being invaded / identity stolen. Anywho, a detective was put on it and within a few days, they located a woman from the Conneticut area had stolen our identity. The Conn police was contacted and sent to her home. She was arrested, and all items brought illegally was siezed. Needless to say she had a whole house full of items. Anyway, if we wanted to file charges, we had to drive to Conn to file them, and here we lived in Texas. We didn't have the time or money to go to Conn, but I am sure one of the other victims did. I am not sure what the official outcome was for her. Needless to say what the woman was doing was she was going on-line and buying items and just typing in numbers in the CC section till one was accepted. Once accepted, she would make several purchases on-line and kept rolling with the cycle using other numbers that would work. It was a nice lil scheme, but it caught up to her. Our CC company restored our credit but it still f**ked up our credit to an extent. BOL in getting this issue resolved.

i made deposits at sportsbooks that showed up as drugsrus.com and babiesandmore or something. my girlfriend thought i was buying drugs from pakistan or something when she looked at the statement. Lifelock and those places guarentee you they will stop it and you can put a freeze which means if someone uses your credit they have to call in a verify its you. i had my goverment cc number stolen and someone bought 2000 worth of toys with it.

Copter chances are this bitch is a male from somewhere like nigeria Got stung 4 3k like this once but my bank was onto it in less than 10mins and thankfully all monies were refunded within 24 hours...Only advice i can give is join a bank that has a more protective online policy towards the client as its the banks job to make sure your money is safe after all...

Your bank should have details about the origins of the transaction....

If items were being ordered online there has to be an address of were the items purchased were being mailed to. Not sure how you go about getting that information but the online retailer would have to have it logged somewhere.

This is what I was thinking.

Contact the wig website, tell them your CC information and the date of the transfers and ask where it was shipped to, you think it may have been shipped to the wrong address. Make sure you don't mention it was stolen, act like you bought it for your wife or girlfriend or something. Or that you're calling back on behalf of your girlfriend who is worried/embarrassed she might have got the address wrong. Make up a story about it. Just make sure the person on the other line is empathetic. They will tell you everything.

happened to me once too ... had 2 x 35 USD charged to my card, the site where the money went did not want to help me at all ... I just asked the bank to cancel the card, told them about these two payments and the bank gave me back the money after 3 months ...
