Cards were already beat to hell, only way i can see them sticking around is if Craig and Freeze can both come back soon. With those 2 in and Berkman at 1st stl would still get plenty of offense. But atm we already have huge holes in the lineup and this is not good.

Larussa damn sure didnt win all those games because he has a "great baseball mind" even tho he would like you to believe that.

that and what happened to punto, guy was killing it for his standards, this team has too many holes time to buy futures on the brewers

this div is such a mess, i honestly dont think anyone will run and hide in it. Hell Bucccos wont be way out of it. even with this cards still wont be to far behind cin/mil in aug, they all to inconsistent, Last i looked at futures for div it wasnt worth putting money on hold for not great odds on a crapshoot. I mean you right mil the team to beat but i can find more creative things to do with the money in the short-term.

If the Cards had a bullpen they wouldn't even need Albert's bat to win this division.

Honestly if it wasnt for all the other injuries i dont think this would be a huge deal. Cards played decent well before Albert started hitting. Berkman stepping in at 1st isnt a huge drop off, but it puts another hole somewhere else and at the moment there isnt a lot to fill in.

The season is early and the cards will still easily take the NL central.

If they were healthy everywhere else this is 100% accurate.
Not sure what is worse, the pen, or Larussa's mismanagement of it. They basically had 4 quality arms to start the season in Boggs, Mott, Salas, sanchez. down to 3 w Sanchez on dl, but the worst part is Tony rather go to scrubs like Bautista, Milller , Franklin, Tallot.
I dont know how many teams can say that they dont have one lefty with some talent on their entire staff, but i know the Cards can say that with confidence.

Im not gonna judge how hurt he is or how long it will take him to recover. I do know recently Cards have been trending towards giving the worst case scenario after many times over the years giving a optimistic time frame only to see the player be out longer and fans be pissed. They said 12 weeks on Freeze and he looks to be ready well before that. So hopefully 4-6 is worst case and he can make it back in a month.

Why's this guy always scream at pitchers for throwing inside to him? Candy azz just wants pitchers to throw down the middle so he can tee off.
