Because even though the Phillies have had hot bats lately, their offense has been very mediocre this year. 9.5 is a lot considering how bad the offense has been. Also, the lineup card was probably released and there's a good chance all the usual starters aren't in and they are saving them for the second game with Halladay on the mound.

yeah i took under, not necessarily saying under was the right side but in general be very careful about taking over 9.5s in NL games with non-awesome lineups and in a non-hitters' park. Philly used to be a big hitters park but not really anymore
