Any chance we change this thread to recognizable athlete records that are hard to break. Whothafuk is Fernando Tatis
Still an amazing record though that will probably never be broken.
Out of the 4 LB listed, I think Thomas falls first. Gretzky last, if ever.

Most complete games: Cy Young - 749
I would say this record is the one LEAST likely to be broken.
I honestly believe I would have a better chance of hitting powerball on back to back draws than for a major league pitcher to pitch 750 complete games in his career.

Tim Tebow had a pretty good chance to do it, of course guys like Tebow does not come around very often, but if they beat Ole Miss in '08 and Alabama in '09 he would of won 3.

Not on your list, Lakes, but I know for a fact one record that will never even come close to being broken:
*Cal Ripken, Jr.'s consecutive game streak of 2,632*
Funny thing is, he voluntarily took himself out of the starting lineup on game 2,633. (The O's final home game in 1998)
This was the first record that I thought of when I read the title of the thread. Ripken's streak will never be touched.

there isn't 1 record that won't be broken in the next 40 yrs.. except 1.. this one here has 0 chance at ever happening again.. i swear, 0 chance. fernando tatis 2 grand slams in the same inning.. it is mathematically impossible to beat that record.. no one can ever hit 3 grand slams in 1 inning. the odds of 3 grand slams in 1 inning is 1 in 385 billion..
it's highly unlikely it will ever happen again, but to break it by hitting 3 in the same inning... forget it... so there you have it, an individual record that will NEVER be broken.

WTF are YOU talking about
....That is a valid record that will NEVER be broken. Two
grand slams in one inning!! Amazing.
Why is Nicky's post less valid than any of the other good suggestions?
Two back-to-back no hitters also seems like an unbreakable
record.
Think outside of the box for a change.

Cy Young's win record, somewhere in the 560 range.
pitchers are lucky to even pitch 500 games in their career.

How about this record:
Ferenc Puskas (Hungarian Soccer Player)
84 goals in 85 International Matches
514 goals in 529 Hungarian and Spanish league Matches.
He basically averaged 1 goal for every game he played. This will never be broken.

These are career stats. For example the best scorer in the world right now David Villa has 47 goals in 75 games. Puskas had 84 goals in 85 games.

Nicklaus's 18 majors WILL be surpassed.....maybe in our lifetime! But speaking of golf records, Byron Nelson's 11 CONSECUTIVE PGA WINS is a record that will never be broken....too many good young players today!

Nobody will ever break Lebron's record of 3 game winning travels in a series that he set vs. the Wizards in 2006, it is almost mathematically impossible to have 4 game winners but to all be on travels there is no chance

Ronaldo had 60 something in 90 something games. It's not really that far off.
pele had 77 in 92
Its possible since some of these guys score 4 or 5 goals in qualifying against these little crappy euro countries.
Muller scored 68 in 62, that's already better than puskas..........
