Yeah, when I was in Montreal last winter I ate dinner at a sportsbar around the Bell Centre when they played Toronto at home. That atmosphere alone was crazy, can't imagine inside the arena.

i swear to god this might this vancouver crowd might be the quietest crowd i have ever seen. it's like church in there. you can hear yourself think. just listen during the game how you can hear a pin drop.. everyone is quiet until the canucks score. that is horrible, especially that this game is in canada.. in montreal, you need ear plugs all game or you'll go deaf.the buzz in the building is unreal.. vancouver fans suck. no way is vancouver a hockey town..

I live in Vancouver and I can tell you that these fans are crazy passionate about their team, but there are also a large number of bandwagon fairweather fans who now act like they are die-hards. Another faction of them are about as arrogant as sports fans come, despite the fact that they've never won a cup and have a history of choking.

not only was that one of the fastest OT goal ever scored, but it was by far the fastest exit i have ever seen of a goalie skate off the ice after a goal.. he did it all in 1 motion and within 6 secsonds, he was practically in the dressing room. never seen anything like this before..he did it all in 1 motion.. i swear it's like he started to the dressing room before the puck was even in..

Thomas always does this. Did in the regular season quite often. Guy just tilts and gets the fcuk out before he starts smashing people with his stick.

While only 2 games have been played thus far, I've seen Thomas "overcommit" a number of times from leaving the crease and it creates big holes for the Vancouver players to exploit. Not sure if he's just being aggressive or it's just his style. While it's hard for Boston to win 4 out of the next 5 games, this technique may come back to haunt this team.

I live in Vancouver and most people here have no life. Fan is short for fanatic. Big deal if they win, it will be just like the Blackhawks next year. They will not be as hungry and they will not be able to sign players and free agents because they think they are worth all the money in the world. Management has done a great job putting the pieces together for their one Stanley Cup in 41 years

this thought has crossed my mind too...but why not enjoy it as it last....if they do win ....though it not over yet

Was at Granville St. last night and it was crazy. Of course you get big groups of people just there for the party who could care less about the game. I watched with 2000 folks at Commodore ballroom, and it was crazy..

As for the game, I agree that fans in Vancouver are not as crazy as others. This is partially do the ticket prices, as the folks that can afford to spend $4000 on a pair of tix.

Boston isn't nearly as loud as Vancouver or Montreal or even Philadelphia.

That was pretty funny how fast Thomas skated off the ice...guy was on suicide watch last night for sure.

you're right. other than hockey, all we have is CFL but its hard to get excited for that when 3 quarters of the league makes it into the postseason
