#107Hey Sin! As I understand the top 8 (based on the 1-2-3 finishes) of each May/June Satelite tourneys plus 1 separate pick by SBR for each world location (Canada, US, Europe, World) will play in this ryder cup format.
Not sure what the game scenarios will be but that is how the teams will be made.
I think you are in the top 8 now, so keep it up bud!
Cheers.Comment -

#109This Ryder cup and the "final" WSOP ME tourney are separate.
The Satelites are just that, satelites to the final tourney on June 25.
Also, the satelites are separately being used to grade the players into Ryder cup teams.Comment -

Hey guys! There is plenty of poker left!!! Yea if you are gunning for team USA you need to get in there and have a couple of strong showings. But seriously ANYONE can make a Ryder Cup team at this point!
True as long as you are one of the listed eight otherwise you get no chance is the way I understand it.

The listed eight have the most points right now, people can overtake them if they do well enough, not rocket science. Thad isn't an employee.

#122finally i find the prizes info . here it is
We will basically pick teams similar to the real Ryder Cup.
The final standings from the WSOP qualifying event will be used to select the official Ryder Cup team. So if you have not qualified for the SBR WSOP main event; play harder!!!
The SBR qualifying event will rank players 1 to 500. We will sort by IP address and extend invitations. The prizes are as follows:
1st place team will win 50,000 poker points.
2nd place team will win 25,000 poker points
3rd place team will win 14,000 poker points
4th place team will win 9,000 poker points
Each team will have 9 players.Comment -

#135USA is definitely the strongest division. I could've been in 2nd or 3rd for any other team.

#139One thing for sure, you're already at a fuk'in disadvantage if you're trying to make the US team. It's certainly not fair because a player trying for the world team needs less points to make it vs the points needed for team USA. The US and Canada does have the majority of players, plus these teams will be stacked, putting any other Ryder cup team at a disadvantage from the onset.
A better approach would be to use a lottery system to choose players for each country no matter where the fuk you are from. Nobody is "originally" from here anyway and this is a "mock" Ryder cup poker team. This would balance out the playing field and make for better competition. You've already got guys asking to be put in a different country category anyway. So why not mix the shit up and give all Pro SBR site supporting members, a fair chance to get in on this?
8 fuk'in players only for each team, with an alternate? So 36 players get to split 97,000 pts. out of all the poker players on here? This is royal flush ass fuk'in if I ever seen one! You could easily have 20 to 25 player per team, by adjusting team and singles players elimination formats eventually getting down to the final 8 from each country.Comment -
