One thing for sure, you're already at a fuk'in disadvantage if you're trying to make the US team. It's certainly not fair because a player trying for the world team needs less points to make it vs the points needed for team USA. The US and Canada does have the majority of players, plus these teams will be stacked, putting any other Ryder cup team at a disadvantage from the onset.

A better approach would be to use a lottery system to choose players for each country no matter where the fuk you are from. Nobody is "originally" from here anyway and this is a "mock" Ryder cup poker team. This would balance out the playing field and make for better competition. You've already got guys asking to be put in a different country category anyway. So why not mix the shit up and give all Pro SBR site supporting members, a fair chance to get in on this?

8 fuk'in players only for each team, with an alternate? So 36 players get to split 97,000 pts. out of all the poker players on here? This is royal flush ass fuk'in if I ever seen one! You could easily have 20 to 25 player per team, by adjusting team and singles players elimination formats eventually getting down to the final 8 from each country.

I agree the US team will be very tough to make. Maybe next year or whenever something similar is done they can have two US teams divided somehow. HOwever, I believe there are at least 8 capable players from the other teams so once the competition starts I think it will be closer than many think.

Only drawback to lottery is how many folks names would get drawn that do not even play SBR poker. Just pros that are primarily in players talk or such. Plus if drawing, what if two or three guys get drawn that acutally play and the rest of teams are randoms who could care less (does not really create fair teams)

Also, my guess is SBR is wanting to draw/reward players that consistently play on their poker software.

Yeah it will be close. WOrst part is I ve had like 3 fourths and even recently have made two or three final tables with chips to only falter

They give them out sometimes to whoever won the most points in the ring games that day.

each team will still have 9 but the ninth player will be whichever player not already on the team that has the most posts.

There will be a competition where each person represents their team in a single table tourney. It will be scored by first place and second generating points, and after X many events the team with the most points will be declared the champions. The full details will be posted at a later date.

Looking forward to this. Like to think I have my ticket cashed, but I am sure I am going to need a minimum of a second place finish within the next 2 weeks.

I can see scheduling problems (or at least whining about scheduling problems) with the above format. Just something to think about.
