Any update yet on whether this will be the only poker on SBR in July? Will kinda suck for those that don't qualify if it is.

And when do the Ryder cup captains get announced? Will they decide the match ups?

Captains should picks matchups and be able to pick a wildcard. Having wildcard based on number of posts is just going to end up with someone who doesnt play poker but yaps alot. Its like if the actual Ryder cup decided to put Charles Barkley on a team cause he talks alot and is well known.

can a mod please answer this if they know? is 100K going to 36 posters at sbr and the rest of us 500 poker players get ZERO?

just asking, because if so I highly doubt that would be very fun for the rest of us... i mean i know we can "rail" the tournaments, but what are we rooting for? lol

Stash you can always bet on me and team USA for ryder cup.

This cup will probably not last longer then a week or two anyways then it will be onto something else.

Chill out guys Im sure it will all be announced in good time.

if we can bet on the teams then hell yea im betting usa.. no offense but the rest of the countries have zero chance

Yeah if odds are posted in the SBR book, I'm sure team USA will be a heavy favorite, meaning a likely no bet for me.

Dax's props rarely interest me as the house's edge is usually egregiously high.

With the significant luck component however, no matter the apparent skill advantage the USA seems to have, there may be value on the other teams if he isn't typically greedy (just check the current odds for players to win the WSOP seat). Depending on the format too, of course.

Hey Lou! Any chance of just taking the results for a spot on the team from when the Ryder Cup contest was announced? LOL... If I hadn't had such a horrible May (think I only had one 3rd place)..., but I'm making a late charge got one 1st and three 2nd's since you announced the contest. Still got a shot, but the clock is ticking.....

Can we get a list of people on the bubble?

1600 should be enough to get you in, you probably shouldn't enter any more tourneys and just sit back and relax and rest up

I am not sure why you dont have 2 USA teams. Make it like the LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES where the USA gets in the final game no matter what. Hell sometimes the USA team isnt even in the best 3 teams but they get the automatic bid.

You need 2 USA teams Lou.

I mean you are excited and all and the standings do give everyone something to play for, but wait until next month. No one but 36 posters will give a damn at all. And you are giving last place team 1000 points each and you need less 500 points to qualify for some of the teams.

How about 5 or 6 total teams but still only pay 4 teams. Last place doesnt deserve shit in the Ryder Cup Lou

It is a bit messed up that someone who happens to live outside the US and can get a 2nd and 3rd, has a chance at a ton of points. Some of the people outside of the US on teams probably don't even know they made it.

There will be at least 3-5 posters for the World teams that dont even know that they made it guaranteed!

Look at your points history for 100 or 250 or 500 from poker. ( If you use 'find' poker , you can get your total pretty fast) Just be sure you didn't collect exactly those amounts from your other poker playing (pretty unlikely).
