If it doesn't happen hopefully they move one of the big conferences games to Sundays.
Don't know if that's an option or possible, but it'd be nice.

It will happen. The players will cave after missing the first paycheck or two of the regular season. 12 game season probably.

There will be plenty of college football on Sunday. The damn WAC, Sunbelt, MAC, and Rutgers would play at 10am on a Wednesday to get on national TV. ESPN will capitalize and Fox will move a PAC10 game to Sunday afternoon. I doubt CBS will be successful getting the SEC to move games to Sunday though.

When you've got players already taking out payday type loans, there will be a deal. Maybe they play 12 or 14 games...but there will be a deal. There will be football.

Rudy,
I'm not disagreeing with you, but for the minimum wage pop corn vendor, we are talking about 10 work days a fall (2 preseasn and 8 regular season games). Itss not like those guys are on salary. They can get another min wage job at MickyDs or BK...

I just heard on sports radio yesterday that in spite of a possible lockout that so far this year that NFL season ticket sales are up. Apparently, there are a lot of people thinking there will not be a lockout this year. I don't think the regular season will be affected, there's too much money involved, but wouldn't be surprised by a shortened pre-season.

Yeah the Pac10 has talked about it. But I can imagine more conferences will talk about it too. At least there is the UFL and Canadian football. Actually in all seriousness, some of the UFL games are pretty good to watch. These are still top skilled players, that just couldn't quite make it in the NFL. But, watching Daunte Culpepper play QB is kind of sad, guy just never made it back from his injury. Jeff Garcia is playing in the league too which is frigging surprising you would think he could be a back up some where in the league? And you got a lot of those players, that were cut, or just suddenly gone from the roster the next year. Like Ahmen Green from the packers, who was in his prime a top rb in the NFL.
So, people give some props to the UFL!!!

I'm pretty sure if there is no NFL on Sundays some NCAA games will move to Sunday afternoon to capitalize on the void.

I think if a whole season went with NCAA on both days of the weekend some of us might wonder why we bothered with the overpaid fools (on both sides of the negotiating table) ...
