If Books are balancing both sides properly.
Why the need to ban or reduce limits of the better players? If a sharp comes in and slams a weak line, the books still have a bet limit, say $1000 bucks. Doesn't the book software automatically readjust the lines to encourage bets on the other side, so come game time the book will make out? What am I missing? I've seen certain books consistently put out soft lines, that start at say -160 and it gets hit so much, come game time, it's -250 (or even worse) with the other side now +200. I would think a book that keeps making those type errors would get itself in trouble. Other books seem to watch those initial lines and adjustments, and then jump in after the market has decided. Help me out bookmaking experts and knowledgable ones.
