When I was in sports marketing this was the group I studied. The Hot Demographics group.
You had to learn their biases, their life-styles, their way of communicating, their buzzwords. Otherwise you would not reach them, nor be able to shake every last coin out of their pockets.
I can't say that I had fun doing it - it was a job. Because even when I was in that age group I was voluntarily outside. Just never liked being pigeonholed. Or "joining" any group. Natural-born contrarian.
I don't know if this site has more traffic than the others of similar bent. There are likely companies that can so track - and also ways to counter the trackers.
I would have guessed that Rx had the heaviest traffic.
But SBR has to be Numero Uno in the cat stat noted above.
The evidence may not be scientifically verifiable, but it submits empirically. (Sorry, guys ; "We can tell by mere observation.")
Predictably, older or otherwise more mature posters now and then kvetch over this, complaining about the impudence, superficiality and rudeness of the Hot Demo group.
One guy, I recall last year, who left this site permanently and in disgust, was a pretty good 'capper of college foots, doing a complete and insightful write-up of the games he was on each week.
The insults and thread hijackings by the Hot Demos drove him away.
With all due respect, the more mature posters, whether in the Hot Demo group chronologically or not --- JUST DON'T GET IT!
Democracy in the 21st century is not about voting, about political control by the people. (In truth, that has never really happened, a nation's direction and destiny is always in the hands of a small minority.)
It's about dollar democracy. Voting with your bankroll. You are what you buy. And those that buy the most are the Key Electorate. The Hot Demos.
