I think movie makers-actors are like boxers that seriously know they are washed up but know that there is one big last payday waiting if they do the charade of going out one last time to perform. It's like trying to wind, bend and squash your tooth paste tube that extra one more time to get enough to brush your teeth with.Washed up quarterbacks are guilty of the same thing where they want to get an extra couple seasons in to collect a few more pay checks.A person hates to know there were a few good paydays left that you didn't take advantage of.The downside is that you embarrass yourself and tarnish your legacy.Maybe Brett Favre did it the right way by going out on a high note.Always make them wanting more.People can learn alot from George Castanza's belief system.hehe!

Anyone see the last of the Rocky movies called Rocky Balboa?OK,the first one was considered good, the second was tollerable and after that it was really, really stale and lame.

So,did anyone see the new Indiana Jones and think it was really bad?You can't go on what movie critics say because alot of them are on the take working in cahoots with movie studios.

Ya,trilogy is supposed to mean 3 but in the movie industry where everyone is toked out of their minds, who bothers counting.hehe!

Anyone hear how the media was really in mourning over the death of this Sidney Pollock?movie producer the last few days?Man,that guy had to be a real lefty with all the offbeat liberal agenda movies he produced putting all the extreme lefty actors and actresses''Jane&Peter fonda-Streep&Redford'' in them. Not one good movie out of the whole bunch in my humble opinion.I'm sure they will run a marathon of his preachy agenda movies on Redford's Sundance Channel.

The best premium channel movies are on between 3am and 8 am.They are the normal movies.

I saw Indiana Jones 4 Monday night and I have to say I was pretty disappointed.

I am a pretty big fan of the series but found this movie to be lacking in substance and didn't care much for the sci-fi element to it. There was really little character developement and the plot was difficult to comprehend at times I thought. The special effects were pretty well done though. Overall, I gave it a C.

But like any action adventure movie, it's probably better to see it in the theatre than watching it on DVD.

Geez, Brent, you really need to get out and get laid or drunk or something because your callous, constipated attitude about life in general really needs some adjusting. Seriously, you're heading towards being the angry old man that my pop is, never looking for anything but the negative in everything that crosses his path.

Are you really telling me that The Firm was some liberal agenda by Pollack? I guess Tootsie was all a leftist conspiracy because Dustin Hoffman wears women's clothing and lord knows any man who has ever worn women's clothing is a Democrat. Naturally The Scalphunters had a hidden plot designed to gain sympathy for liberals since Burt Lancaster showed compassion for the slave played by Ossie Davis. Oh, and Jeremiah Johnson was no doubt a liberal since he took a wife who wasn't white, right?

I have never even seen the first one. I have no clue what it is about. I know most people have seen it and like it. That kind of stuff is just not interesting to me.

It was a PG-13 so maybe the plot was a little too advanced for you. Stick to SpongeBob SquarePants next time.

Movie was a fun ride. Did it have the twists and turns of number 1 and 3? No. But I didn't care. I was just happy Indy was still doing his thing twenty years later. Still gritty and not afraid to get dirty. Still afraid of snakes. All good.

This wasn't made for the movie goer. It was made for a paycheck. Like Ford needs even more money.

Trilogy means 3 movies... Indiana Jones is not a Trilogy.

George wanted to make one more before he went back to star wars. While he hasn't comitted to it. Rumor has it he doesn't want to make another trilogy, but he wants to possibly make a movie about how Yoda became a Jedi.

As an anthropologist, I love all Indiana Jones flicks. Yes this movie had some flaws, but it was fun and had all the usual Indy necessities. It was still, probably, just as good as the 2nd film (Temple of Doom). The 3rd Indy film (Last Crusade) might actually be one of the best films of all time, considering that it's a simple popcorn flick, it was sure one hell of a great movie. Easily in the top 5 of any adventure film list.

Rocky Balboa was pretty good as well -- a better ending to the franchise than Rocky 5, which was atrocious.

Rambo (the new one) was alright -- really just another Rambo flick. I initially had reservations about ALL of these films, but they've each surprised me and I've been impressed, to say the least. That might be because initial expectations were so low. Just look at Spider-Man 3 -- how horrible was that movie? Compare the third Spidey flick to the third Indy flick -- it's silly how much better The Last Crusade is. You expect the films to take a giant dip in quality after the 1st film -- it's a general rule. But, since Spidey 2 was quite good, Spidey 3 had big expectations. We were let down.

The Lord of the Rings doesn't -really- count because they were all filmed at the same time AND were planned AND could, actually, really just be one long 9 hour film. They were, nevertheless, fantastic.

Movie ratings are based on the type of content (i.e. violence, sexual scenes, language, etc...) not whether the movie made any sense or not

i don't go to the movies anymore. i just wait for them to come up on showtime, hbo, etc. why pay all that money at a jacked up rate to watch? around $10 a ticket, no wonder these big actors get paid $20-$30 million a movie.
