Thanks, FourLengths. That's awfully ambiguous wording but hopefully it works out. I would've much preferred to let my Spurs +1050 ticket ride it out, but getting it back at market price is better than nothing I guess.

Bill,
Is there anything that can be done about this?
First of all I dont want to send my CC, or Banking information over the internet via unencrypted email to some company I have absolutely no experience dealing with. Who knows what can happen.
Second, wouldnt a be the same violation of US law that they are claiming for book to book transfers to apply a payment to a CC?
Maybe SBR can get us some additional options?
I will take a check!

World Betting Exchange
It is UK based but liquidity never took off despite a huge advertising effort.
Hey guys do you think it is possible for them to reconsider on allowing b2b transfers? How can they just suddenly say we allow 1 withdraw only and only give us the option of wire or CC? What in the world is a CC withdraw?
no, they want to hold on to your money for a month or more, thats why they are making so hard for the us players to withdraw their balance

I transfered my $ to them from BetJam. All I am asking is they send me the money back the same way... They refused to do this... I am not happy about it...

if you spent half as much time actually implementing the site as you did hyping it up here, it would've been up many, many months ago
not holding my breath for this timetable

have you never sent a wire transfer in your life? this is a completely typical procedure, and one cannot "steal my identity" from the banking information i provided to them, nor is it sensitive information. get a grip.

WHY??
Just because they leave the U.S. market??
So SIA and BETPHOENIX should be rated B+ and MB a B- just because they don't service U.S. clients????
The SBR RATING of B- is highly inaccurate, and has been for a very long time.

And the beat goes on. I have beeen saying this for years now. Things are just going to get worse for all gamblers who have offshore accounts. Until the U.S. allows on line wagering, based in casinos and sportsbooks in the U.S, expect things to get much worse for the players. It will become harder and harder to withdraw funds, as more and more off shore books knuckle under to U.S. pressure.

Yeah, that's a valid concern. Not so much the Identity theft, but they could rob your account blind repeatedly. Had someone get hold of my info one time and they went on a serious shopping spree.
It could cause many more problems in the future than just a few bucks.

I am not worried about giving the information to Matchbook either. I am worried about communicating it to them through completely insecure means.
At the very least they need to set up a withdrawl page that uses standard encryption where we can submit our info. To send an email to all their customers and ask them to send their CC or bank info through email is just ridiculous.

My condolences to US punters for losing another out. Kudos to any who diminished balances in the past few months in expectation of this. I feel sorry for those that got taken in by the blatant shilling going on in these forums and now have money in limbo. On the bright side you have more evidence of who is full of shit when they post.
And nicky saying MB will be still great for Canadians is laughable. The place is going to be a ghost town.

Well this just got a whole lot worse....
Dear xxxxxxxxxxxx,
Following up on our previous e-mail regarding the withdrawal options available to you, we require customers with a balance less then $10,000 to withdraw the funds to their CC.
Please note that payments cannot be made to AMX or debit cards.
Please supply your CC details in the following format:
ccn,exp_month,exp_year,currency,amount
ccn - CC number.
Exp_month - expiry month of the card
Exp_year - expiry year of the card
Currency - The base currency of the card.
amount - the amount you want to be paid to the card.
Funds will be reflected on your statement with the words '**** services'
Customers with a balance of $10,000 or over will be required to withdraw the funds by wire.
WTF!!!! I don't want to send money to my fuckin' CC and I certainly don't want a huge positive balance on my card. This is fricken unreal. Just give me the fuckin' wire. Goddamn if I had seen this thread right when it came out yesterday i'd have gotten out by sportsbook transfer before the ownership change was effective.
Fuckin' bs. And I certainly don't want to give my cc# and all of the info that gos with it in an email! ****, i've never given this info to any book. What happens if you don't own a CC anyhow?? Dang, actually wish I had more money there now. Why in the heck can't they just send a check (or wire) to those with <10k?

Posted twice in this thread this morning.
This is very sad news for at least 90% of the U.S. clients that use and love Matchbook.........they have lost a great out.
For those in many other jurisdictions(countries), and a small minority of U.S. clients, Matchbook will continue to provide a great offshore wagering experience, one of the very best in the entire world.

i don't think there have been a U.S. pressure in this case, infact there have never been any U.S. pressure on any book. if the feds find the real owners of a book and they are located in america, they arrest them and prosecute them, if the owners are in an island, the feds don't seem to care.

They cannot "rob your account blind" with the information that you provide them regarding a wire transfer. How are they supposed to initiate the withdraw? It's impossible.
