      That's great and all, but it doesn't actually make him a clutch hitter if you are a sentient, rational person.

        And yet it does make him a clutch hitter if you're a Sox or Yankee fan. I won't remember (nor will I care to remember) Papi's OPS+, but I'll remember that brief period of time when he came to the plate and every Sox fan I knew got a healthy boost of confidence, believing that he would come through when it mattered. And he did, and it made for great "moments".

          So now that we have established that clutch hitting does not exist in reality, you've shifted the goal posts to "but Red Sox and Yankees fans will have memories". No disagreement there.
