Its time to face the fact that you are a loser
How many of you are actually ahead in your lives from gambling?

Gimme a f'in break, you gambling fiends. You are all losing money. Maybe 1% of this forum is actually ahead in their life.

I aint gonna lie. Im not ahead. I think I was for a while but when I start losing I have a tendency to bend myself over and chase.

Im not complaining, I have no regrets, its been fun, Ive lived life and done a lot, Im just sayin. Im 30 years old now and am starting to realize theres more to life than sweating games all week.

Once again I aint gonna lie though. Good times.

That's why I keep it as a hobby, don't bet much money. Real tough to make a profit.

Warriorfan, even the pros here in Vegas started as losers. Just the nature of the business.

What pros in Vegas are you referring to? I live in Vegas too. I get drunk at Caesars palace and play single-deck and Pai Gow Poker. Drop in and say whats up sometime, look for a dude about 5'10 in an SF Giants hat who is rowdy.

I think ive seen this written about 12,000 times. Usually right after a guy quits and about 4 days before he starts up again

I was just thinking this exact same thing. I went from 50 units to 152 in 2010, and have gone back down to 45 units in a matter of 3 weeks since the new year started.

I think I am just going to start to wager points for fun, sweating these games each night is so over rated. I don't see the "thrill" in loosing $250 because the San Jose Sharks beat the Devils in a shootout and you almost won some money. The only thrill in sports betting is when you win but all I think about are the units I dropped before that.

@casperwaits at least that's something I can build on. everyone had to start somewhere

I've only been doing this a little over 2 years and by God I swear it I'm up quite a bit. However this is really time consuming and if I get to the point whereas I don't enjoy it anymore I'd definitely quit. Also if I am losing so much that it becomes an expensive habit I would also quit. If you feel like you've had enough than stop and pursue something else. There is so much out there and you can live your life without this.

You know what that is probably the closest thing to it but man pussy is just pussy, really not that hard to obtain one way or another, but as you can see by proof of this thread that getting hot with pix and staying hot for a long period of time is not so easy so I gotta put cold hard cash ahead of hoes at this point in my life.

I am only barely ahead because of bonuses and contest winnings (so I guess that means I would be negative otherwise). Therefore, I am getting fractions of a penny per hour. Maybe I should just work harder at school/work but those aren't as fun.

Im about a break even bettor ... But I look at handicapping as a hobby, and actually gambling and betting, as entertainment, and pretty much all sources of entertainment cost money.

I meant overall. I certainly can hit better than 1% of my games

I can honestly say that I am ahead in life from gambling. Not by any ridiculous amount but a few thousands but not more then 5k thats for sure. I can't keep track of how much my whole life but 2005 was my best year by far. I as well do this for nothing more then a hobby. I started gambling first when I was in 19 and of course I put my ass in a hole. I can't stress how important money management is and people do not understand how important it really is. End of the day, betting on sports shouldn't be a first income for anyone.
